What topics or businesses are not accepted ? 

The following types of content are prohibited in press releases:

  1. Investment Opportunities: Content related to financial services, investment opportunities, or similar topics. Additional restrictions apply to financial services companies.

  2. Personal Opinions: Content aimed at harming or seeking personal revenge against an individual or group.

  3. Blog Posts: General interest articles, "open letters," and similar content that often lack proper attribution or news value.

  4. Defamation or Harmful Intent: Content intended to incite hatred, bigotry, racism, or violence; attack individuals or groups; damage a company’s reputation; or defame, fraud, degrade, or victimize others.

  5. Sexually Explicit Content: Material that includes explicit sexual references, illegal content, or offensive language.

  6. Comparative Claims: Unauthorized comparisons involving another company, entity, or product.

  7. Opinions and Advice: Financial or investment advice, including claims of guaranteed profit, passive income, or wealth accumulation.

  8. Medical/Health Content: Unverified or unregulated health-related content, including claims about treatments, supplements, or pharmaceuticals that claim to prevent or cure diseases like COVID-19.

  9. Expected Purpose of Release: Press releases should include an announcement or message from a recognizable entity and clearly state the source and intent in the first paragraph.

  10. Get Rich Schemes: Content promoting quick wealth, multi-level marketing, or networking schemes.

  11. Piggybacking: Unauthorized use of another issuer’s name or ticker symbol.

  12. Celebrity Mentions: Using a celebrity’s name or likeness without permission. Consent must be provided from an authorized representative, such as a legal team or estate.

  13. Self-Promotion: Content that primarily promotes an individual’s profile without news value.

  14. Unsubstantiated Claims: Unverified claims about health products, treatments, or devices, especially those that suggest they can prevent or cure illnesses.

  15. Inappropriate Associations: Content that falsely implies an official association with a government entity.

  16. Unapproved Home Testing Kits: Content promoting unapproved home testing kits for medical conditions.

  17. Press Release Promotion: Content directly advertising press release distribution services.
